January
8th Viewing of the images selected for the YPU Annual PDI Exhibition 2019.
Closing date for entries for the January Quarterly Competition.
15th Annual Awards & Buffet Dinner. The Britannia Pub, 239 Swinnow Road, Pudsey, Leeds, LS28 9AP. 7pm for 7:30pm 
22nd January Quarterly Competition. Judging and Critique by Bill Mahoney.
29th Yorkshire Post photographer, Simon Hulme returns to give a presentation of the life and work of a press photographer.
February
5th Viewing of members’ 2020 YPU Exhibition submissions.
Closing date for Bob Redman Trophy entries. Members may enter up to 3 images as PDIs or prints (or a combination). The set subject for 2020 is “Lines.”
12th An Evening with Royston Packer DPAGB AWPF LINSWP. A digital presentation entitled “Travels to Tanzania”.
19th Annual Auction Night. Tonight is about raising much – needed funds for the society so come along and bag a bargain. Don’t forget to bring along something that you no longer need and wish to sell or donate.

26th Bob Redman Trophy – Judging & critique by Monty Trent LRPS.

Closing date for Tony Mitchell Trophy entries. 3 projected images on set subjects, which for 2020 are: 1 Architecture/General Record, 1 Nature, 1 Sport/Action/Photo-journalism.

4th Two of our newer members, David Benedict & Maureen Hemingway will give a video presentation showcasing some of their very varied work over the years and some of the videos Maureen made of her hobby, showing some of the interesting people and places they have visited on their travels.
7th (Sat) Interclub Round 3 – Ossett & District Camera Club. 7.30pm.

11th Image Editing Walk-through & Technique. Richard Greaves will once again guide us through more Photoshop mysteries.

18th Tony Mitchell Trophy. Judging & Critique by Robert Helliwell ARPS.
25th A favourite of the club, Keaton Roebuck, returns to give another of his entertaining presentations entitled “My Way”. A night not to be missed.
April
1st A new guest speaker to the club, Bill Mahoney presents “Wildlife of South Africa’s Kruger National Park.” A digital presentation with possibly a few prints.
Closing date for entries for the April Quarterly Competition. Members may enter up to 3 Colour PDIs, 3 Mono PDIs, 3 Colour Prints and 3 Mono Prints.
2nd (Thu) A return of the 3 way battle between L.C.P.S, Garforth Camera Club & Pontefract Camera Club. Hosted by Pontefract Camera Club, Carleton Community Centre, Carleton Road, Pontefract, WF8 3RJ. Start time to be advised.
4th (Sat) Interclub Round 4. – Bradford Camera Club. 7.30pm
Set Subject: Shadow. Set Theme: Travel.
8th Table Top Night with a fruity theme. Bring along your fruit and, of course, your cameras.
15th April Quarterly Competition – Judging & Critique by Brian Crossland LRPS.
Closing date for the Lightowler Trophy entries, a panel of 3 monochrome prints on a theme chosen by the entrant.
Closing date for the Colour Award entries, a panel of 3 colour prints on a theme chosen by the entrant.
22nd President’s Evening. What treats does our President have in store this year?
29th Sally Sallett presents “Never Underestimate an Old Woman with a Camera.”
A digital and print presentation together with a couple audio visual sequences.
May
6th Lightowler Trophy & Colour Award. Judging & Critique by Andrew Rothery.
Closing date for the Small Print Award entries. Members may enter up to 3 prints, either mono or colour which must not exceed A4 in size. Mounting is optional.
13th Studio Night. We will be converting our normal venue into a photographic studio. Model(s) required, do you know of any?
20th A practical evening, using the “Buddy System”. Working on laptops, more experienced members partner up with those less experienced to edit images. We finish with a before and after presentation and a short description of what was done.
27th The Small Print Award – Judging & Critique by David Burgess MA (Phot) ARPS.
Closing date for Elsie Freeman Trophy entries. Members may enter up to 4 prints (Colour only) on any subject.
June
3rd 10 Minute Stars. A chance for members to give a short presentation on any photography related subject.
10th Alison Taylor LRPS. A digital presentation in 2 parts. Part 1: “Scenes of Yorkshire”. Part2: “Coastal Photography”.
17th Elsie Freeman Trophy. Judging & Critique by Nigel Plant ARPS AFIAP DPAGB.
24th Evening out. Our first evening out of the year. Venue to be confirmed.
Please do not go to our usual venue at the St. George’s Centre in Middleton – we will not be there!
July
1st Brian & Sue Trout – “The Road to EFIAP.” A look at their images submitted for their EFIAP qualification.
Closing date for entries for the July Quarterly Competition. Members may enter up to 3 Colour PDIs, 3 Mono PDIs, 3 Colour Prints and 3 Mono Prints.
8th Evening out. Our second evening out. Venue to be confirmed.

15th Quarterly Competition – Judging & Critique by Haydn Bartlett LSWPP.
22nd Show & Tell. Bring in 5 images that you wouldn’t normally consider for competitions. Tell us why you took the image and what you have done to it in post processing.
Closing date for Annual Exhibition Prints entries. There is no limit to the number of prints you may submit.
29th A presentation by Steve Bavill. What has our Competition/Programme Secretary been up to in the last year?

August

19th Annual Exhibition PDIs – Judging & Critique by Peter Wells ARPS CPAGB BPE3* AFIAP.
 26th Anthony Ware gives us another presentation of his excellent work.
   
September
2nd Another practical evening, using the “Buddy System”. Working on laptops, more experienced members to partner up with less experienced members, editing images. We finish with before and after presentations and a short description of what was done.
Closing date for “Straight out of Camera” competition entries. No editing allowed, not even re-sizing.
9th A presentation entitled “Small World” by Andrew Foley.
16th “Straight Out of the Camera” competition. Judging by club members.
23rd Photoshop with Richard Greaves. What editing techniques has Richard got for us this time?

30th Awards Panels – If you were challenged to pick your best pictures of all time and present them as a panel of 10, for either an RPS or PAGB award, what would you show? A fun night to see if what you’ve got in your back catalogue could be submitted for an award. Every image is bound to have a short story.

7th Wayne Hoyle presents “Australian Adventure”. A look at Queensland and the Australian Outback.
14th Halloween themed Table Top night. Bring along anything associated with Halloween to create some spooky shots.
21st October Quarterly Competition. Judging and Critique by Christine Hartley.
28th Our third evening out of the year. Light painting using torches, lasers, light sticks and spinning burning wire wool. Venue to be decided.

4th A.G.M. The Annual General Meeting of the Leeds Co-operative Photographic Society is your chance, as members, to have your say on how the club is run. Your input is vital.
Closing date for the Padgett Trophy Competition. 
11th Interclub Round 2, hosted by ourselves. Members’ assistance is required on the night. Please come along and give your support.

2nd Grahame Gage gives us another entertaining evening with his presentation entitled “Whatever Next 4”.
9th Image of the Year Judging & Critique by Colin Williams CPAGB EFIAP.
16th Tonight we break for Christmas and New Year. Come along to our party and enjoy some light hearted photography fun and maybe a quiz.
